As it turns out, I got stuck up at Ramapo till late Monday, mainly because of the really bad storm that flooded a lot of roads and made it difficult to get anywhere. I spent most of the time playing Phoenix Wright on Matt's DS. It's so fun! I'm completely addicted and going through withdrawal. XD; I was partway through the fourth case when I had to stop. Curses! But, soon, I will *finally* have my own DS and be able to ~~steal~~ borrow his copy of the game and finish it. Will have to get the second game too, and the third one when it comes out over here.

I also had a funny customer today who, apparently, couldn't quite grasp the concept of an express lane. When I politely informed him that he had to have 12 items or less(he had a nearly full cart) to get in line, his reply was "Oh, sorry, didn't know we were counting!" I laughed at him. XD Behind his back, of course.

I also acquired more manga on Friday night; there was a Tokyopop "buy three, get the fourth free" deal at Borders, so I got another volume of Fruits Basket(they were, of course, missing the next few volumes I need :P) a Slayers novel(they had 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6...), volume two of Trinity Blood, and the first volume of Great Teacher Onizuka.

Can't wait to buy VP:L and play it on my PSP~

Well, it's done. Suo's chapter is complete, and posted. Next one will be the one to get the wheels truly in motion for the A ending events, and I can't wait to write it. It's one of the ones I've been most excited about writing, and now that the time has finally come to get close to the juiciest bits of the story, I'm beside myself with anticipation. It's going to be so fun.

In other news, I'm very close to completing Tales of the Abyss, I got my Momiji shirt and Ayame plushie in the mail, and had a great time in the city last Wednesday with Matt, Kell, Dais, Howie, and Peter. I got to visit the Met for the first time, and liked it a lot, especially all the Greek and Roman stuff, and the swords and armor. Particularly the Japanese stuff, my inner Kenshin fan was squealing. XD And speaking of Kenshin, I found his plushie at Kinokuniya and bought it. Has the scar and everything. XD Now just to wait for my awesome messenger bag~

Mmmm, I love the smell of new stuff.

Thursday night, I picked up the final three volumes of Kenshin(which is simultaneously :D and T_T at the same time), as well as a copy of my own of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, as I'm starting to collect the Narnia books.

Today, I got TALES OF THE FREAKING ABYSS, another Narnia book, the first volumes of Read or Die and Fruits Basket, and a wintastic friend for my Sanosuke plushie - a Shigure plushie. XDDD He's so cute! And he looks all happy, and appears to be hugging... something. XD Perhaps a high school girl? XD Also a penguin bookmark. :3

So, I just created a Valkyrie Profile fanfic community, flenceburg . Hopefully, it will get some members and activity~

I also have a job interview on Friday! :D Tis with a local bank, I really hope I get it and that it pays more than I'm currently making at ye old Stop & Shop. I need to get out of the supermarket, BADLY. X_x

In Suiko II rambling, I've changed Jowy's nickname to "Cherry Coke Zero" after ringing up a 12 pack of that exact product today. XD Luca's also been rechristened "Shishio Lite", as he spouted off some dialogue early on that reminded me of Shishio's philosophy, but of course he's nowhere near as good a villain as Shishio himself is. Too bland, too much overdone insanity, uninteresting backstory, and lack of Mugenjin. *nods*

I'm bored and in the proper mindframe for this, so I'm going to dig up this old meme and have a go at it.

So, yesterday I went to the actual Quick Stop. =D RST Video is there too, with movies still inside, but is closed, sadly. :< But it was pure awesome to get to walk around inside the Quick Stop, regardless. Got some photos, too. :3 Naturally, I wore the Jay and Silent Bob shirt(with Brodie quote assist on the back) that I got at the Secret Stash. Can't wait to see Clerks II on Saturday~

Also been listening to the first volume of the VP:S OST, it's amazing. I'm looking forward to hearing the second volume and arranged album, it really seems like Sakuraba has gotten back what he had in the first game. ^.^ And of course, I can't wait to play the game itself.

Still watching Star Trek, I now think "City on the Edge of Forever" is one of the Best. Things. Ever. <3

So is Flonne, in a random change of subject. I saw her introduction at the beginning of Chapter Two of Disgaea recently, and couldn't stop laughing. She rules. Nin nin~

So, anyone who's played SO2 extensively and had Opera knows that's it really difficult to get her to make the Black and Green Systems, and FAQs generally agree that she has to be at a high level and will go through a lot of Material Kits before she makes either one.

So how the hell did she make the Black System today at level 46, with only Machinery skill level 8, and it was the first time I'd had her do it in this file? Seriously, what are the odds of that? XD I'm guessing extremely low. I literally exclaimed "Holy shit!" when I saw it pop up, and had to look at it in the inventory to make sure I'd really seen it.

Shame Laser Bit doesn't seem to be that good, though. :< Oh well, hopefully I'll get lucky again and make the Green System too. I can dream, can't I? XD

So I was doing a search for SO:EX images(god help me) to show Matt what Gyoro and Ururun look like in it, and on the fifth page of results was Maiji's "Mirror of Wisdom" comic.

Karma, maybe? XD I found it hilarious.

Also, a special presentation - Things Seen in SO2 Recently(culled from both my recent/current playthroughs).

-Ashton getting KO'd in midair and falling on top of Rena, and STAYING THERE for the rest of the battle. XD

-Rena saying her level-up quote while running across the battlefield. And she'd somehow wound up on the complete opposite end from where she started, without me noticing. XD

-Claude getting frozen in midair by Ray getting cast, and floating back down to the ground as the EXP total came up, as Ray nuked the flying monster.

-Various people winding up on each other's heads, as usual.

-Rena getting hilariously pissed off at Claude during a PA in Cross Church. I dunno what it is, but whenever you choose to piss off a character in games that give you choices and ending options like this, it's always really, really funny. XD Even when I like a character, it's still funny.

Man, replaying this game has been/is so very fun. I'm remembering so many things that I loved about it in the first place, and playing it differently from usual is giving me extra appreciation for it. :3

So I was playing SO2 late last night, and decided to have Dias compete in Cooking Master. Now, I'd been working on levelling him up, and he had max cooking skill, All-Purpose Knife and Beret equipped, and had his Courage and Poker Face skills levelled to max to lower the Pressure Gauge.

I go in there, the opponent is introduced, it's Veggie Battle, blah blah blah. Then I see that Dias has no Pressure whatsoever, but run over anyway to get more rare ingredients to cook with.

For several seconds, all I get are "0 servings of" vegetables and grain.

WTF. XD Finally, I get some rare ingredients and begin cooking, though whenever I go back for more, it takes several seconds of getting 1 serving of veggies/grain before I get some Purity Leaf or Magical Rice. Dias does so-so, or so I think, wasting a lot of ingredients and making what seems like a fair amount of stuff with the rare ingredients, and then spents the last minute or so brewing 'tea' and making smelly rice cakes. XP Bizarrely, he manages to win, and it wasn't that close, either. o.O So now I call him Glitch Boy, and that's perfect, since I'm the Game Breaker. XD

(Also must note that taking on the Wise Men is much easier with a party of four fighters. Easier to keep them occupied and thus not casting spells; Decus got off one Spicule which didn't do a whole lot of damage, and poor Cyril who has no shiny fork didn't even get to do ANYTHING. XD)

Been a while since my last real entry, eh?

Not much has really happened since then. I'm still working at Stop & Shop, which is both good and bad. Good because it's money, bad because the customers all too often suck.

On the gaming front, I completed that ToS playthrough and got to the end of another before leaving it for another time. Zelos, as planned, yes. Also replayed Chrono Trigger, played through Rhapsody for the first time, and am currently playing SO2 again. Because I feel like doing something completely different, I'm trying for Rena/Ashton and Claude/Precis. Who knows, they might be amusing endings. And anything's better than that godawful Fate/Roger ending in SO3. XP

Rhapsody was pure awesome, incidentally. Laughably easy, and incredibly cheesy, but the cheese was what made it fun. It was plain to see that it wasn't taking itself seriously, and the characters were great fun. Particularly Marjoly. XD

I've also played walking FAQ for Matt on his VP playthrough, which was fun. Going to replay that myself before VP:S comes out, and I've resumed work on my best Seraphic Gate file in addition to working through SO2. Lawfer now has 90k DME and is level 99. Next person, I haven't decided on yet. Possibly one of the mages, or maybe Kashell.

With any luck(and please don't let me jinx it), the new hard drive will soon be installed in the other computer, so I can resume work on HR. OH GOD I NEED TO WRITE THAT STORY IT IS DRIVING ME INSANE NOT BEING ABLE TO. ;_; Wah.

I've also been getting heavily into Star Trek - watching episodes of DS9 and Next Generation on TV, the original series on DVD, and of course the good movies, which started back during Matt's winter break. I absolutely love it.

Oh, and a few weeks ago I got another thoroughly awesome shirt to go with my Peeps one. This one features Peeps with bling, and the words "Respect My Peeps". Also got a Secret Stash shirt the last time I went to Red Bank, featuring Jay and Silent Bob on the front, and a quote from -Brodie- on the back. :D

So, in addition to Suiko V, I'm now playing Tales of Symphonia again. Everyone save Kratos now has their special titles for going through the Advanced class at the Coliseum in Meltokio. I had previously had them for Lloyd, Presea, and Zelos only, and needed them for the others. Surprisingly, Sheena wasn't as tough as I thought she'd be, and Colette and Raine were the easiest and most fun. I'm now in a replay in which I'm going to pick Kratos, and the next two replays will be Zelos and Colette as soulmates, in that order.

God, I love this game. <3

In other news, job is going well. Had a parade of oddballs last night when I worked the 6-11 shift, which was highly entertaining. By far the best one was one of my last customers, a woman who bought some toothbrushes that were on sale for 2 for $4, some ice cream, a large jar of mayonaise, and I think something else too. She then had $2 off coupons for the toothbrushes and coupons for the rest, and ended up spending only $1.64... which she put on her credit card. This amused me greatly for the rest of the evening.

I will taser the next moron who asks if I'm open when the light is on AND there's no Closed sign there AND I'm serving a customer. Freaking idiots.
